2. in the manhua we got the vibe that it all happened simultaneously but seeing it animated like this is disgusting.

Yeah this episode was depicted very wrongly . They did not follow the novel at all with it .

The animation was surprisingly much better though

you seem to forget that all hi8s elements are reduced by 1, and he's only a mid tier mage at this point, with NO CONTROL over the demon element until he reaches advanced mage and gains his next 2 elements, his talent for dual awakenings is influenced by the demon element, and it becomes his 6th element as a power he can use a bit more freely. but right now, he cannot make full use of it without a massive backlash: if he uses it again, not only will his magic levels be reduced again, he'll lose access to shadow and summoning elements mid tiers, which would, in fact, destroy the plot of what happens next. He really does need that mid tier summon, because each tier of the summon element allows for 1 summoned contract. you've seen the previews, his next contract is a chibi fire spirit... specifically, the daughter of the current one (again this isn't a spoiler, as the rich blonde guy already explained the flame belle's taming method, and she's currently an emporer level monster on par with the lords of the underworld in egypt, and necropolis by the old capitol...

a lot was skipped over, but Mo Fan also has a blood tribe girl helping him at this point, kinda disappointed they cut her out of the animation. (the blood tribe was used in the demon blood experiment, and vampires REALLY like Mo Fan's blood. girl was newly turned when mofan interrupts a feeding, and thanks to his blood, she gained her freedom and the beginning of mofan's city starts with the Ice Mu as the leader, and her... causin? mu bai as a member as well. bit of a pity they skip so much, but there's alot in the books that just won't fit... while they have the greatest budget in china, that simply means they can face basic japanese studios... unfortunately, China is a shitshow when it comes to anime, most of it fits into a 40 minute bracket, 25-30 minutes of which is propaganda commercials... so we take what few wins we can that this one has an hour and 15 minute bracket on chinese tv.

This episode was so garbage it was not even funny. They have usually kept pretty accurately to the novel but this episode was so wrong . First off the witch did not do everything they depicted in the anime in the novel . Second off Mo fan was mind controlled but it was NOT the fire mother that broke the control it was Mo Fan's pendant that broke the mind control. Also the fire mother died . She was not healed by xia . Her soul was still around and possessed Mo Fan.

If they followed the manhua even 75% and not skip almost every important detail, let alone the novel, this season COULD have been decent.

Literally, but i do want to know about mo fan's journey. Idk about gogoanime but from where I watched this anime all 12 episodes has been already aired. And that last cliffhanger really make the show worth watching for another season.

Btw r u a LN/Manhua reader? I mean any specific reason that u didn't like the starting episodes. Is it because pace was too slow? Or is it they make some minor changes in some scenes? Or were you expecting Vampire Arc and they didn't animate it due censor board policy in China?

I don’t read the manhua or stuff like that and if you make a comparation with the previous seasons there is a big difference in quality of the story, fight scenes etc.
About the first 2 3 looks like they were made in a rush with expected finish and boring to watch. I was seeing a big improvement in the last episodes but to make 70% of the show so boring and 30% good.. it’s to much :)
Of course probbly from your point of view who like the show more then me and readed all the manhua this season was good :)

Yeah I can understand what u mean. They rushed few things but those weren't the major part of the story as they have to cover 2 arcs at once. Plus Flame Fairy Arc might seem a bit boring but was also very important otherwise people don't understand where in world this Little Flame Belle (炎姬) came from.
Don't worry there is plenty of story to cover. You won't get disappointed if u will keep watching it and I can guarantee that.
I hope they come up with another season.
